The Historic Greenville Cemetery of Greenville Community Church is located on the hill behind the Scarsdale Mini Mall at 580-590 Central Park Avenue, just north of the intersection of Old Army Road. There is a well-worn 200-year-old path at the north corner of the mall parking lot. The entrance to the cemetery is at the top of the path on the right, near the entrance to the Edgemont High School playing fields.
A short walk up the path and you enter a special place: a lovely, secluded hillside filled with fresh air and sunshine that feels like a world away from the busy traffic below. Although secluded, it’s safe to walk there. (Pets are welcome if leashed and cleaned up after.) Be aware that there is poison ivy growing along the edges and in some of the “wilder” parts of the grounds — know what it looks like.
Map View below: The northern ‘pin’ on the Google map points to the Cemetery. Change to “satellite” view and zoom in to see it nestled on the hillside between the Edgemont track and the commercial shops on Central Park Avenue.
The Greenville Community Church is the other pin on the map, just a few blocks away at 270 Ardsley Road between Central Park Avenue and Old Army Road (just up the hill from the Scarsdale Train Station). See Contact Us for more information about the Church.
